Peer Education
The Recovery Workbook Group Education Course consists of ten sessions taught by a team of trained facilitators who are personally experienced at living well with mental illness. The curriculum is from Boston University's Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation. NAMI Maine is interested in collaborating with agencies and hospitals to provide this Mainecare reimbursable course.
Participants come away from the course with a workbook as well as many other tangible resources. The course covers topics such as:
- Recovery
- Increasing Knowledge and Control
- Managing Life's Stresses
- Enhancing Personal Meaning
- Building Personal Support
- Setting Personal Goals.
