NAMI Basics Teacher Training

NAMI Basics is an educational program for parents and caregivers of children and adolescents living with mental illnesses. It covers the fundamentals of caring for yourself, for your family and for your child. Meets for 6 weeks, 2 1/2 hours each session, free of charge.

NAMI Basics is an educational program for parents and caregivers of children and adolescents living with mental illnesses. It covers the fundamentals of caring for yourself, for your family and for your child.

 

No previous experience necessary.

Prospective teachers must be parents of other primary caregivers of an individual who exhibited symptoms of a mental illness prior to age 13 (the formal diagnosis may have been made years later, but symptoms were present prior to age 13).
