Welcome to NAMI Maine’s Youth Mental Health First Aid! Specifically for people who work with kids ages 12-18, this nationally-certified program is jam-packed with information designed to help you identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health concerns. Youth Mental Health First Aid helps people understand what adolescents who experience mental health concerns and addiction face. The topics are well researched, the lessons are easy to follow, and the format gets to the issues around stigma and how you can help move more and more kids toward recovery. The eight hour course results in a 3-year national certification as a Youth Mental Health First Aider.
