NAMI Maine Support Groups

NAMI Maine sponsors support groups throughout the state for people who have a mental illness (peers) for family members and friends who have a loved one who is ill, and for veterans and their families. Groups are led by trained local volunteers. NAMI support groups provide a safe place for people to share their stories about their struggles with mental illness and learn from others. All support group discussions are considered confidential. Groups provide a place to meet with people experiencing similar issues and learn new strategies to handle daily challenges.
