Heather’s role is to be the primary trainer under NAMI’s Suicide Prevention Program.  She also focuses on the development of evidence-based training and education to support the work we do.

Heather comes to NAMI Maine from Washington State where she developed and ran an award-winning program focused on youth suicide prevention within high risk populations.  Heather has a BA in Sociology with a focus on Intercultural Relations and an MA in Intercultural Service, Leadership, and Management with a focus on Training & Intercultural Communication.  She has many years of experience working in mental health prior to her work in public health education and really found her passion when she began her work in suicide prevention.
