Mental Health Outreach Coordinator / Helpline
Libby serves as the Mental Health Outreach Coordinator working directly with individuals who utilize information and inquiries through the NAMI Help Line. She assesses and responds to the needs of individuals, offers information, and resources. Libby establishes supportive relationships and advocacy with people who not only contact the help line but with community partners and providers. She documents all calls, emails and walk-ins to the Help Line, and maintains a current and comprehensive understanding of the Maine Mental Health and Criminal Justice systems.
Libby joined NAMI Maine in March 2015 after working as a case manager and residential services technician in the Portland area. She holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Human Services and Psychology from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Before moving to Maine, Libby worked with adults with developmental disabilities in group home, vocational, respite and in home supports settings in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking and catching up with family members back home.
