Sophie serves as the coordinator of development and communications, working directly with NAMI Maine's media partners throughout the state. She also supervises several programs within the agency, including the Information and Referral Line and Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training Program. Sophie also serves as the coordinator for Maine’s National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Outreach Partnership Program, bringing vital research, information and clinical promotions. Additionally, she is an accredited trainer for both National Council for Behavioral Health in MHFA and NAMI National's Support Group Facilitator Model.



Sophie joined NAMI Maine in 2013 after working for three years in case management. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in History from Regis College and a Master’s of Science in Human Services from University of Massachusetts in Boston. Sophie has a passion for the work that she does both in the office and in her local community, participating in local city government. On the weekends, she enjoys hiking with her wife, Ari, and their black lab, Charlie.
