Suicide Survivors Speaker Bureau |
The Maine Suicide Survivor Speakers Bureau is comprised of people who have lost a loved one to suicide and have been trained to speak safely and effectively about their loss to the public, and most importantly, to use their story of loss to deliver a message of prevention. The goal of the Speakers Bureau is the prevention of suicide through the telling of their stories. A Speakers Bureau member is someone who has been through their acute grief and can bring their story to the public.
If you are in need of a presenter that has been trained to speak about the experience of having a family member or friend who has died by suicide, with a message that helps to decrease stigma and increase help-seeking behavior, please contact Cheryl Ramsay.
