Safety plans support veterans, service members and their loved one who are struggling with a mental health or substance abuse crisis. Planning should be led by the veteran or service member with the support of their friends, loved ones, and professional supports. It is often used with people at increased risk for suicide, but is an excellent tool for use with anyone who is struggling with mental health symptoms.  This 2 hour session will provide the tools and process for implementing safety planning for supporting veterans and service members within their community whenever possible.

Participants can purchase food during the training from IHOP, food will not be provided or paid for by NAMI Maine.
