Inspiring Minds is NAMI Maine's skills-based recovery education program for people with lived experience with mental health challenges. We meet once a week for 8 weeks and cover a variety of topics through interactive sessions that include listening, videos, exercises, role plays, and group discussion. We do not talk about mental illness, symptoms, or treatment. Rather, we focus on personal and interpersonal skills anyone can benefit from learning. It is not necessary to register for all 8 classes, since each one is designed to stand on its own. However, your experience will  be enhanced if you do come to most or all of them.

The classes will take place at the Waterville Peer Recovery Center and over Zoom due to COVID concerns.  We are asking for pre-registration so that we are able to mail materials to those attendees who choose to participate via Zoom.

For more information on each topic, please click the registration link and click on the icon at the end of the session name.
