FaithNet is a network of support consisting of NAMI members and friends dedicated to promoting caring faith communities and promoting the role of faith in recovery for individuals and families affected by mental illness. 

NAMI Maine‚Äôs adaptation of FaithNet strives to inspire faith communities to be more inclusive and welcoming for people with mental illness (peers) while cultivating spiritual support for the benefit of peers and family members alike. 

FaithNet Offerings Include

NAMI Support Group with a faith and spirituality focus in Knox county.

NAMI Maine will be offering a confidential interfaith support group that include a spiritual dimension for individuals and for family members affected by mental health challenges.

  • KNOX COUNTY group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 2 - 3:30p.m. Meetings are held at St. Peters Episcopal Church in Rockland, Maine.  For more information contact Penelope at (207) 975-6188.                                

Being a member of a particular faith tradition is not a requirement for participation--the group is open to family members and peers who are interested in exploring the role of faith and spirituality in health and healing. 

Bridges of Hope

Bridges of Hope is a program whose purpose is to educate clergy and congregations about mental illness so that they can create stronger safety nets and welcoming communities of faith for people living with serious mental illness and their families.  This program is offered in various counties in Maine.
