NAMI Basics is a 6-session educational program for parents and caregivers of children and adolescents under the age of 18 experiencing emerging emotional and behavioral concerns. It covers the fundamentals of self care, family advocacy, open communication and much more!

Become a certified teacher in this national education program!


Who can attend?


Parents or other primary caregivers of a child who had mental health concerns prior to age 13. This training is primarily for parents/primary caregivers from Washington, Piscataquis and Somerset Counties.

No experience is required!

 What is the cost?

This training is completely free

Meals and snacks are provided to participants throughout the training.

If requested, there are a limited number of double occupancy (shared) hotel accommodations as well as mileage reimbursement available for people coming from Washington, Piscataquis and Somerset Counties.
